The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of long-term
care workers about the state of safety accidents and safety culture in elderly
care facilities in an effort to make a contribution to the safety management
of elderly care facilities. The subjects in this study were the selected
long-term care workers in elderly care facilities, on whom a survey was
conducted. Data were gathered by asking the care workers to fill out the
given questionnaires from November 10 to 27, 2014. The answer sheets from
300 respondents were gathered, and the answer sheets from 284 respondents
were analyzed except for 16 ones of which it's difficult to make a statistical
analysis. A statistical package SPSS WIN 16.0 was employed, to examine the
awareness of long-term care workers about the state of safety accidents and
safety culture in elderly care facilities in an effort to make a contribution to
the safety management of elderly care facilities.
