The purpose of this study was to classify the bio-mechanical principles of movement and the areas
that can provide the scientific basis of the physical activities covered in the curriculum of elementary
physical education curriculum. For this purpose, I have studied the principles of movement of the body
on the basis of sports bio-mechanical understanding, and I have summarized the kinematic contents to
help teaching and learning. Among the lessons to be learned in the elementary school fourth grade
physical education curriculum, the learning contents of the research subjects include basic fitness training
as health activities; mat, balance beam, vaulting horse as challenge activities; basketball games, soccer
games, hockey games as competitive activities; rhythmic gymnastics as expression activities; a game of
slap-match, marbles as leisure activities. The elements that need to understand the bio-mechanical
principles of detailed motion in detail are muscular strength, agility, balance, moment of inertia, stability,
angular momentum transfer, projectile principle, principle of action and reaction, law of conservation of
angular momentum, stability and mass, the principle of leverage was included. In the future, it is
necessary to analyze and examine the elements of physical education in elementary school in accordance
with the 2015 reversion curriculum.
