자연친화적 예술경험을 기반으로 한 프로젝트 활동이 아동의 과학적 태도변화에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 연구대상은 K시 소재 초등학교 저학년(1,2학년) 16명을 대상으로 2017년 4월부터 주1회, 180분, 12주 동안 프로젝트 사례연구가 이루어졌 다. 자연친화적 예술경험에 기초한 과학 프로젝트 시작 단계에서 참가 아동을 대상으로 과학적 태도에 대한 사전 검사를 실시하였고, 프로젝트 마무리 단계에서 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 사전 사후 간 비교를 위해 SPSS 22.0을 활용하여 단일집 단 대응표본 T검증을 실시하였으며, 교사와 아동의 면담과 인터뷰, 회기별 활동내용 관찰 등을 토대로 프로젝트의 교육적 의미와 효과에 대하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 자연친화적 예술경험을 기반으로 한 프로젝트 활동은 아동의 과학적 태도변화에 긍정적인 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었고, 과학적 태도 형성에 영향을 미치는 프로젝트 주제와 내용, 교사의 지원방법 등에서도 의미를 도출해 낼 수 있었다. 이러한 측면에서 자연친화적 예술경험을 기반으로 한 프로젝트 활동은 아동의 과학적 태도 향상을 위한 효과적인 교수학습 방법임을 시사한다.
This study investigated the effects of a science project based on nature-friendly artistic experience on change of scientific attitude among children. The subjects were 16 lower (1stand2nd)grade students in an elementary school located in K City. The case study was conducted for 12 weeks from April 2017, once a week for 180 minutes. To compare the results of pretest and posttest on the children's scientific attitude, one-group paired t-test was conducted using SPSS 22.0 and the educational significance and effects of the project were analyzed based on interview with teacher and students and observation of the activities in each session. The analysis result showed that the science project based on nature-friendly artistic experience had positive effects on change of scientific attitude among children. And implications regarding the theme and content of the project and support method of the teacher that influenced formation of scientific attitude were identified. In that regard, scientific project activities based on nature- friendly artistic experience are, according to the result of this study, an effective teaching-learning method for improving scientific attitude among children.
