The aims of this study were to investigated the effects of Death
Preparation Education(DPE) on the perception of good death, death
attitude and meaning of life of university students majoring in social
welfare. The participants were 60 students (experimental group:30,
control group:30) attending at university in D city and DPE was
consisted of 8 sessions (twice a week, 120 minutes each). Data were
collected before, after program and 10 weeks follow up. And data were
analyzed using independent samples t-test, ANCOVA, and paired
samples t-test. The results showed that DPE was effective on raising
the perception of good death and had a significant effect on death
attitude and meaning of life. Based on the results, we suggested the
implications for the operation and application of social welfare
education to help university students of majoring in social welfare to
raise awareness of well-dying, death attitude and meaning of life.
