The purpose of this study is to analyze the policy of NURI Curriculum
based on four dimensions of educational policy theory.
The analysis was accomplished in four dimensions applying Cooper,
Fusarelli & Randall framework; normative, structural, constituentive, and
technical. This framework enables individual to understand policymaking in
education through various perspectives. The results of this study are as
follows.
First, the policy of NURI Curriculum necessitates a contemplation of the
influence and intention of policies along the values, standards, and
philosophies that compel societies to undertake improvement and change.
Second, the law and regulations need to be set up because the intricate
structure of policies is crucial to evaluate the influence of the policy on
educational institutions.
Third, the communicational channels have to be organized to make
teachers, parents, administrators, or government officials share their opinions
and cooperate and find a resolution for the formation of policy.
Finally, the levels of government should organize and establish the
intention of policy evaluation, data collection, a design for analysis, and a
way to publicize the results.
