This thesis is the first step to establish the concept of Yong(勇/
Intrepidity)·Seon(善/ Goodness)·Ak(惡/ Evil). I suggest the term
"Yong·Seon·Ak" as a perspective for analyzing narrative works.
Therefore, this paper is the first step in establish the concept of
Yong·Seon·Ak. For this purpose, I analyze DonghaeanGut, the song of
the shaman.
The basis of narrative works is conflict. The conflict is driven by a
confrontation between the good and bad, and this confrontation is
stimulated by the concept of Yong. In other words, conflicts are formed
by the action of chartered evil, and conflict forms the basis of the
development of narrative works. The chart of 'Good and Evil → Conflict
→ Narrative Works' is established. Yong, good and evil are not terms
of the same status. Yong is a mutual fusion of good and evil, as well
as the fundamental energy of the conflict between good and evil.
The confrontation between good and evil can be seen as a
confrontation between a main character and a reactionary person in the
work, or a power of confrontation between two characters or a field of
confrontation. In the same context, two forces pushing and pulling in the
work can be seen as good and bad confrontation, and tension pulling and pulling. There are many factors that form the basis of narrative works.
This paper demonstrate what is at the core of the factor as
Yong·Seon·Ak.
