The purpose of this study is to find out the media effect of organizational culture in
school under the effect relations of the authentic leadership of principal on the
organizational effectiveness of school as perceived by the elementary school teachers. In
order to accomplish the purpose of this research purpose, the questionnaire survey method
was facilitated for 300 elementary school teachers in Chungcheongbuk-do. Detailed
conclusion of study obtained through the research process is shown as follows.
First, for the authentic leadership of principal, organizational culture of school, overall
organizational effectiveness of school and structural factor that are perceived by elementary
school teachers, all have statistically noticeable static correlation. Second, under the influence
of the authentic leadership of principal on the organizational effectiveness of school, it
displays the partial medium effect of organizational culture of school, and the level of
explaining the organizational effectiveness of school together with the authentic leadership of
principal and organizational culture of school was shown to be extremely high at 56.7%.
And, third, in the influence of the authentic leadership of principal on the organizational
effectiveness of school , it could find partial media effect of friendly culture, progressive
culture, reasonable culture, and conservatory culture, and the level of explaining the
organizational effectiveness of school solely on the authentic leadership of principal was
27.8%, but the level of explaining the organizational effectiveness of school together with
conservatory culture (51.4%), reasonable culture (49.4%), progressive culture (47.4%), friendly
culture (47.1%) with the authentic leadership of principal is shown to be extremely high.
Therefore, in the elementary schools, there is a need for diverse and systematic
administrative and financial support to form the school organizational culture, such as, team
work of teachers, innovative response to the environmental change, reasonable
decision-making and striving for gradual changes.
