The present study is intended to examine the effectiveness of a the Learning
Enhancement Group Counseling Program on learning self-concept and learning motivation
among middle school students. A non-equivalent control group pre-post quasiexperimental
design was used. Participants were 85 students randomly assigned to one of
two groups, an experimental groups (n=41), who received the program; and a control
group (n=45), who didn't receive the program. The Learning Enhancement Group
Counseling Program was held 1 sessions and 100mins per week for 8 consecutive weeks.
Data were analyzed using SPSS statistics 13.0. learning self-concept and learning
motivation were significantly increased in the experimental group. The findings indicated
that The Learning Enhancement Group Counseling Program effectively increased learning
self-concept and learning motivation among middle school students. The implications of
this study and limitations were discussed.
