This study was to investigate the mediating effect of coping strategy for job stress in the relationship between
character strengths of early childhood teachers and their happiness. For this study, 460 early childhood teachers
were recruited. The findings of this study were as follows. First, character strengths, happiness, problem-solving
coping strategy, support coping strategy had significant positive correlation. Second, the results of testing
mediation models, not only complete mediation modelbut also partial mediation model were statistically
significant. Therefore, partial mediation model was conclusively selected because itoccupies a big part of effects
through verification of the optional model. Implication of this study and suggestions for future studies were
discussed.
