Single household is expected to be the typical form of future Korean household from reduction of household size and rapid growth of the Single. As Japanese solve the same problem with Sharehouse, a case study on Sharehouse in japan focused on the Spatial Arrangement and Spatial Composition could suggest an potential applications in Korea. The method of study is as follows. First, the concept and space type of Japanese share house are summarized through literature and previous researches. Second, The general architectural matters and space of the case study subjects are analyzed and the analysis framework is set based on the functions and human actions. Third, we will analyze the share house case located in Japan based on the framework of analysis and identify the current situation and draw implications. The conclusion of study is as follows, First, all housework spaces are shared in the public space. Second, since the public space shared with family is not used by family in the share house, the living room is essentially arranged, but the dining room and the guest room are partially installed. Third, the sanitary space is appeared in both private and public spaces while the bathrooms are shared with the public Finally, the warehouse was analyzed as a space required by individual households, but balconies are not preferred much.
