The purpose of this study is to take a closer look at what fathers experience when raising adolescents
who are under probation. The fact that exploring the experience of a father in this situation can provide
them practical support, assisting children who are suffering under probation. There were two, and in-depth
interviews were used to collect research information between July and September of 2015. An analysis was
then made to complete a qualitative case study. As a result of the analysis, the experience that the fathers
underwent while rearing the guarded adolescents led to a realization of "Growing up with child and
realizing the expressions of the child' s love, which was negative". The results of this study emphasized the
following key phrases: “anxiety that feels like living while holding a rugby ball”, “unilateral punishment
without communication”, “my heart feels like it will be burnt black”, “not enough love”, and “spending
time together as my child grows up”. Services with more sensitivity to the condition of fathers in this kind of situation where they must raise adolescents under probation have been suggested, based on these
findings.
