Parallel import system is the act of importing a genuine product that is not a counterfeit or smuggled
product with a trademark attached to it by a person who is granted the right to legally use the trademark
in a foreign country. Therefore, the parallel imported goods can be in conformity with the government 's
import policy which is cheaper than the goods of the monopoly importer and seeks to stabilize import
prices through competition. In the meantime, there is considerable concern about the 'KC certification for
household goods' measures to be implemented in the near future. In addition, there is a growing demand
for improvement of QR code attachment system of KCS, which has been operating since 2012. Therefore,
this study examines the characteristics, current status, standards, and related requirements of the current
parallel import system, and investigated the relevant legislation(KC certification) and the customs clearance
system(QR code qualification), and draws up problems, and then suggested more efficient operation plan of
the parallel import system in the future.
