본 연구는 북한이탈여성의 성평등의식, 성인지, 성희롱·성폭력에 대한 인식정도를 알아보고 성평등 의식이 성인지, 성희롱·성평등 의식에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 경기도 31 개 시군구에 거주하는 20대 이상의 북한이탈여성 500명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고, 결측치를 제 외한 361명을 분석에 활용하였다. 분석결과, 북한이탈여성의 성평등의식은 평균 2.817로 보통보다 약 간 낮게 나타났고, 성인지는 1.258로 나타나 성평등의식과 성인지 측면에서는 매우 낮은 수준으로 인 지하고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 성희롱이나 성폭력에 대한 인식은 보통으로 나타났으나 이것을 사회문제로 인식하는 부분에 있어서는 낮게 나타났다. 성평등의식이 성인지, 성희롱·성폭력에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석한 결과, 성평등의식이 성희롱·성폭력에 정적(+)으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 인구사회학적인 변수에서는 학력이 성희롱·성폭력의식에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로 하여 북한이탈여성의 성평등 및 성인지 의식을 높이고, 성 희롱과 성폭력에 대한 인식을 공고히 하기 위한 개입방안을 제시하였다.
This research is conducted in order to verify an cognition of North Korean women defectors’s gender equality consciousness, gender sensitivity, sexual harassment, sexual violence and to verify an effects of gender equality consciousness on gender sensitivity, sexual harassment, sexual violence. The data is collected from 500 subjects above 20 years old of age with North Korean defector women, residing in Gyeonggi-do, and utilized 361 subjects excluded missing value in analysis. The results affirmed that the gender equality consciousness of North Korean women defectors were 2,817 which was little lower than cognition of gender equality consciousness and gender sensitivity. Also for the recognition of sexual harassment and sexual violence was average, yet in part of recognizing the sexual harassment and sexual violece as a social issue was relatively low. As a result of analysis about the effects of gender equality consciousness on gender sensitivity, sexual harassment, sexual violence, gender equality consciousness exerts a favorable influence on sexual harassment, sexual violence and for social demographic status, educational background exerts a favorable influence on sexual harassment, sexual violence. On th basis of these results, diverse intervention ways were presented for improving North Korean women defector’s gender equality consciousness, gender sensitivity and solidify their recognition on sexual harassment and sexual violence.
