The main aim of this study is to verify effectiveness of children with developmental delay by music activities which made of music elements facilitate motor skills. in the inclusion setting. Thirty six children with developmental delay attending a inclusive child-care center participated in 16 sessions consist of 30 minutes from March to August. Intervention was music activities to facilitate motor skills. Study design is pretest-posttest control group design.
As results of this study, music activities which facilitate motor skills improved children's motor development in the inclusion setting. Moving with music activities which facilitate motor skills improved the children's gross motor abilities. Playing the instruments activities which facilitate motor skills improved the children's fine motor abilities.
As study results, music activities improved motor skills regardless of sex, degree of disability and ages. As a conclusion, music activities which facilitate motor skills can be effective intervention program to improve children's gross and fine motor skills in inclusion settings.
