This case study is aimed to find support areas community children centers require through its current status and needs assessment, thus providing the fundamental data for actual support policies, related program development, and standardized manual preparation. Accordingly, focusing on 40 community children center(a home schooling) in the Seoul metropolitan area, the needs assessment was performed based on the following four support areas; facilities support, children support, family support, and teacher support. In case of the facilities support, the needs toward labor costs, building rent fees, and facilities reconstruction costs were found to be strong, whereas in case of the child support, the needs for child counseling charges and extra curriculum activities fees of a home schooling were revealed to be high. For the family support area, needs for emergency support fees were found to be higher than the family education ones. In the teacher support area, the needs toward substitute teacher costs and training for teacher management were shown to be high.
