본 연구는 대학 중도탈락자 예방을 위한 인성교육 프로그램의 구성에 그 목적을 두고 있다. 최근 들어 많은 대학들은 대학모집 정원이 입학지원자들 보다 많은 공급 과잉 현상에 따라, 특정 자격 검정 없이 신입생들을 모집, 선발 하다 보니, 신입생들의 교육 질 저하와 학업에 대한 성취동기 부족으로 인한 중도탈락, 학교생활 부적응에 따른 휴학 등 다양한 문제들을 나타내고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학 중도탈락자 예방을 위한 인성교육 프로그램을 기존의 많은 실제적 집단상담 프로그램들을 바탕으로 재구성하였다. 인성교육 프로그램 초기단계에서는 집단원들이 자신의 장점이나 잠재적 기능을 확인함으로써 긍정적인 자기개념을 형성하도록 하는데 초점을 두었고, 중기단계에서는 집단원들이 구체적으로 대학생활을 통해 얻고자 하는 것이 무엇이며, 그 목표를 달성하기 위해 어떤 노력들을 해야 할 것인지와 관련된 활동들을 구성함으로써, 막연하게 느꼈던 자신의 대학생활을 구체화 시키고자 하였다. 그리고 종결단계에서는 자신이 현재 당면한 스트레스를 탐색해 보고 대처기술을 익히며, 미래의 나 자신을 설계해 보는 활동들을 구성하여 집단원들이 대학생활에 대한 의미를 찾고 생산적이고 책임감 있는 사회구성원으로서의 자신의 모습을 기대할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 본 인성교육 프로그램은 총 12회기로 구성되어 있으며, 대학에서 매년 학기 초 학생상담센터와 연계하여 신입생 오리엔테이션 프로그램으로 활용하거나, 인성교양 과목으로 활용 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
This study is aim at constructing character education program for prevention from college dropouts. This study is reconstructed character education program by the total 12 sessions with the center of variety of existing group counselling programs. The necessary time by 1 time 90 minutes. In the initial stage of character education program, I haven the affirmative self-esteem of the groups formed by strengthening strong points of the groups or potential functions. In the middle stage, the program is made up of taking concrete shape what for the groups to obtain through college life and what to make an effort to achieve the aim. In the final stage, Activities are made up of investigating stress with which the groups are confronted in the college life and learning to cope with a difficult situation and designing the feature of oneself in future. I believe that this character education program is to be effective to prevent from college dropouts by using as the freshmen orientation program or the character culture subjects with the connection of counselling center at the beginning of a term every year, in college.
