이 글은 전문대학에서 주문식 교육을 이수한 근로자와 이수하지 않은 근로자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, 두 집단의 산업현장 적응력에 대한 인식 결과를 비교 분석함으로써 주문식교육의 성과를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 설문조사를 위해 주문식교육 이수자의 채용 경험이 있는 전국 12개 지역에 소재한 200개의 기업을 선정하고, 해당기업에 근무하고 있는 주문식교육 이수자와 비이수자 총 400명을 선정하였다. 기업 근로자의 설문조사 협조 및 회수율 제고를 위해 주문식 교육에 참여하고 있는 대학 관계자의 도움을 얻어 우편조사 방식으로 조사를 실시하였다. 주문식교육을 통한 산업현장 적응력의 효과를 분석하기 위하여 전문대학 졸업생의 직무수행능력, 직업만족도, 경력 개발노력 등을 하위 분석 요인으로 설정하였으며 주문식교육 이수자와 비이수자의 산업현장 적응력을 비교 분석하는 설문 문항을 구성하였다. 조사 결과, 주문식교육 이수자들은 비이수자에 비해 학교에서 직업세계로의 이행과정 직무수행능력, 직업만족도, 경력개발노력 등 전체 항목에 걸쳐 높은 인식을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이같은 결과는 주문식교육이 전문대학의 산학협력이나 직업교육에 중요한 기여를 하고 있음을 보여주며, 따라서 주문식교육의 확대 필요성을 시사한다.
The customized training in Korean vocational colleges has been regarded as a effective pathway for school-to-work transition of students. However, performances of this type of training were not academically proven. Being based upon this situation, this paper aimed at analyzing what performances the customized training have brought about in industrial firms by comparing work adaptability of those employees who joined the customized training programs and their counterparts who didn\'t joined the programs in vocational colleges. A questionnaire survey was performed to analyze work adaptabilities. It included four hundreds of employees from two hundreds of those industrial firms which employed both groups of graduates from vocational colleges in twelve provincial areas. Variables included in the survey were those ones which could prove the differences of work adaptabilities by the customized training programs, such as job competencies, job satisfaction, efforts for career development. According to the findings of the study, employees who joined the customized training programs in vocational colleges showed higher positive responses on job competencies, job satisfaction, efforts for career development. than their counterparts who didn\'t joined the programs. This finding suggests that the government is needed to take greater initiatives in expanding and supporting the customized training programs. These initiatives need to be focused on to financial supports for vocational colleges in acquiring the facility and equipment needed for practical training and in developing action programs for the training.
