장애인은 비장애인의 장애인에 대한 편견으로 인하여 사회로부터 소외되고 고립되어 왔다. 이 연구의 목적은 장애인의 내부자적 관점으로 장애인의 생활속에서 편견의 의미를 알아보고 편견의 본질을 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 그리고 장애인에 대한 심리재활을 돕고 비장애인의 장애인에 대한 편견의 이해에 대한 기초 자료를 제시하고자 한다. 연구 참여자는 모두 중도장애인으로서, 이들은 비장애인의 삶과 장애인으로서의 삶을 모두 경험하였기 때문에 장애인에 대한 비장애인의 삶을 좀 더 잘 표현 할 수 있으므로 이들을 연구대상으로 하였다. 연구방법은 현상학적 방법을 도입하여 중도장애인들의 경험을 좀 더 생생하게 고찰하였다. 장애인에 대한 편견경험을 분석한 결과 혐오스러움, 무시에서 오는 경멸감, 거부감과 고립감, 인정받지 못한 억울함, 동정 받는 수치스러움, 유별나게 보임, 비장애인의 생각 테두리 등으로 구성됨을 알게 되었다. 그리고 장애인이 경험한 편견의 구성요소의 본질은 비장애인이 장애인을 자신들과는 다른 동등하지 못한 인격체라는 인식이 존재한다는 것으로 나타났다.
The handicapped person has been alienated and isolated from the society due to the prejudice from the normal. The purpose of this research is to understand the meaning of prejudice and learn the true nature of prejudice in the handicapped person\'s life through the insider\'s perspective. In addition, another purpose is to help the handicapped with psychology rehabilitation and to present fundamental research ,which helps the norm to understand the handicapped person. The chosen participants were midway-handicapped person who have better understanding of both the perspectives of the handicapped and the norm since they have experienced both lives. The research was carried out by employing the method of phenomenology ,which allowed to see the lives of midway-handicapped person more closely. As a result, it can be concluded that aversion, contempt coming from ignorance, feeling of rejection, isolation, grief coming from non-recognition, humilation coming from sympathy and uniqueness are the main elements occupying the minds of the handicapped person. The essence of these constituting elements shows that the non handicapped person`s recognizes the handicapped person`s different beings.
