Astudy on the electrosorption of Co²and Sr²ions onto a porous activated carbon fiber was perfomed to treat radioactive liquid wastes resulting from chemical or electrochemical decon-tamination and to regenerate the spent carbon electrode. The result of batch electrosorption exeperiments showed that applied negative potential increased adsorption kinetics and capa-city in comparision with open-circuit potential adsorption for Co²and Sr²ions
