Carbon and carbon-based materials are used in nuclear reactors and there has recently been prowing interst to develop graphite and carbon based materials fot hirh temperature nuclear and fusion reactors. Effprts are underway to deveiop high density carbon materials as well as amorphous isotropic carbon foy the application in thermal reactors.
