In this study, the oxyfluorination of PAN-based carbon fiber was undertaken at room tempe-rature usinf fluorine-oxyren mixturesm and the influrence of oxyfluorination on proper-ites was investigated. The surface characterisyics of the modified fiber were determined by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and dynamic cotact angle analyzer.
