During a 3-year period(2001-2004) 18 animals were surgically treated of abdominal wall def-ects(hernia). Out of 18 animals 8 were bovines, 5 carprines and 5 cannines. In each the defeat was bridged with carbon fibers. Carbon fibers were placed either in simple interrupted patteren or as mattress overlapping. All the cases were successfully treated and no complo-cated was observed up to six months postperatively.
