이 연구는 발달지체유아들이 재학하고 있는 교육기관을 대상으로 장애유아의 건강관리와 건강교육 실태를 알아보고 교사의 유아 건강인식 수준을 파악함으로써 현재 당면한 발달지체유아의 건강교육 문제점과 개선방안을 모색하고 효율적인 발달지체유아의 건강관리 제반 여건을 마련하기 위한 기초정보 자료로 활용하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 서울시, 경기도 지역의 특수학교(특수학급), 특수유치원, 통합어린이집, 장애전담어린이집 24개 기관의 교사 130명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 발달지체유아의 건강교육은 전문적인 지식과 기술을 요구하는 것이 아닌 일반적인 기초지식을 통해 조기발견, 예방하여 능동적인 자기관리 능력을 향상시키고자 하였다. 유치원 교육과정에 따른 건강교육은 교사들이 선호하는 교육방법과 교수매체로 지도하였으나 발달지체유아의 수준과 특성을 고려한 수업이 이루어지지 않고 있었다. 발달지체유아 건강관리는 기관유형별 건강 전담 인력 배치가 다르므로 건강관리지원에 차이가 나타나고 동료교사 정보공유, 정기적인 부모상담, 부모교육이 발달지체유아 건강관리에 도움이 되고 있다. 그러나 공식적인 의료기관과 연계성이 부족하고 구체적인 관리지침 부재, 장애특성 이해 부족으로 실질적인 건강관리가 이루어지지 않고 있다. 교사들의 발달지체유아 건강인식은 책임의식이 높고 발달지체유아의 교육계획안에 건강관리 계획안 포함 실시, 건강관리 조치 및 교사훈련, 직무연수, 예비교사 건강관리 훈련에 대한 필요성을 크게 인식하고 있다. 가장 효율적인 건강관리 및 건강교육은 예비교사 양성과정에서 건강 관련 교과 개설 필수화하여 교사의 전문적 자질을 기르고 발달지체유아에게 적합한 교구교재 개발 보급하여 발달지체유아들이 건강한 삶을 영위할 수 있는 방향을 제시하는 것이다.
This study aims at examining the state of the play on the health care and health education for children with the special need in special education institutions and finding out if there is a difference in teachers\' awareness of health of children with the special need based on background parameters of teachers responsible for the children with the special need. The study has conducted the survey in 24 special education institutions in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do and 130 teachers participated in the survey. The method of analysis was frequency analysis. the outcome of the survey is as follows. It shows that it has been helpful for the health care to share informations with colleagues about the health care, to consult with the parents on a regular basis and to educate the parents. However, there are few medical institutions officially linked with the special education institutions and the practical health care has not been conducted due to the lack of specific health care guideline and the lack of awareness of children\'s characteristics The most efficient health care and health education is established health curriculum for preservice teachers and thereby nurture professial capability and present. the directions for the infant with the special need to live a healthy life in the future.
