대학에서의 학생 선발은 학생 개개인에게는 삶의 진로를 모색하게 하고, 국가 사회적으 로는 사회를 이끌어 가는 구성원을 선발하는 매우 중요한 일이다. 즉 대학입학전형은 대학 에 입학해야 할 적격자를 선별하는 기능과 고등학교 교육을 통하여 학생이 성취해야 할 기 준과 수준을 제시하는 기능을 수행해야 한다(정구향 외, 1998). 계획이 발표되었다. 그 날 중앙일보는 ‘대학입시의 빅뱅’이라는 사설을 통하여 2002학년도 입시에 대한 견해를 밝혔다.
The purposes of the study were to analyze the student selection system of national and international universities, to present the student selection system for implementing of University of Education in 2002. The study was carried out mainly by reviewing literatures and analyzing data obtained from professors of Inchon National University of Education. The major findings of the study were as follows: first, The preconditions of student selection system of University of Education in 2002 reflected as follows; 1) the educational conditions of University of Education for elementary school teachers, 2) the contribution for normalization of elementary and middle school, 3) the educational demands in community, 4) the variety and autonomy of University of Education. second, The basic directions of student selection system of University of Education in 2002 presented as follows; 1) implementing the two steps system for student selection, 2) the enlargement of no-examination student selection recommended by social and educational person, 2) introducing the in-depth interview in oral examination for student selection.
