여가과몰입은 스트레스를 동반하는 수준으로 과도하게 여가활동에 몰두하는 것을 말한다. 본 연구의 목적은 여가과몰입과 삶의 만족도 간 관계에서의 가족만족도의 중재효과를 검증하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 전국 규모의 여가 관련 실태조사를 위해 표집된 1805명의 성인(남자 893명, 여자 912명)에게 인구학적인 변인들에 대한 질문지와 더불어 여가과몰입, 삶의 만족도 및 가족 만족도 척도에 응답하도록 요청하였다. 본 연구 결과, 여가과몰입은 삶의 만족도와는 정적인 상관을 그리고 가족만족도와는 부적인 상관을 나타냈다. 또 여가과몰입 수준은 여성보다는 남성에게서, 젊을수록, 교육 수준이 높은 집단에서, 그리고 평일여가 시간이 적은 집단에서 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또 가족만족도는 여가과몰입과 삶의 만족도 간 관계에서 유의미한 중재효과를 보였다. 이러한 결과에 기초하여, 여가과몰입, 여가강박, 여가제약, 여가권태, 그리고 다양한 중독 현상들 간 유사점과 차이점이 논의되었다.
Preoccupation with leisure refers to the tendency to get absorbed in excessive leisure activities to a degree of experiencing stress. The purpose of the present study is to examine the moderating effects of family satisfaction on the relation between preoccupation with leisure and life satisfaction. The nationwide survey on the actual situation of leisure-related activities was conducted among 1805 adults (male 893, female 912). The subjects were asked to complete the scales of preoccupation with leisure activities, life satisfaction, and family satisfaction as well as the questionnaire of demographic variables. The results showed that the amount of preoccupation with leisure was larger in the male than in the female and in the young than in the old. Also, the longer education years and the less of leisure time on weekdays were related to the increase of preoccupation with leisure. In addition, the preoccupation with leisure showed a positive correlation with life satisfaction and a negative correlation with family satisfaction. On the other hand, the family satisfaction exerted a significant moderator effect on the relation between the preoccupation with leisure and life satisfaction. Based on these findings, the relationships among preoccupation with leisure, leisure obsession, leisure boredom, leisure constraint, and various addictions were discussed.
