The purpose of this study was to explore participants' needs and expectations for extended and strengthened student teaching program, and three-year experiences of student teachers. Documents, survey, interview and journal writing were implemented for data collection. The study showed that for student teachers they wanted to have the student teaching experiences as a smooth preparation for national teacher certification exam, for student teaching schools they expected to have differentiated and sequenced programs, for school district it would be a good experience for student teachers to understand the school settings and for supervise teachers to improve their professional empowerment, and for university the teaching profession needs to reflect their teaching and to have a collegial relationship with teachers. The student teachers evaluated the extended and strengthened program as positive, and concerned their teaching and student management. There are some prerequisite for an implementation of the extended student teaching program, at the same time, it needs to reflect the philosophy of the teaching college and characteristics of changing society.
