Second, there were significant differences on traditionally-oriented beliefs by teacher developmental phase. Teachers in a consolidation phase, a renewal phase, and a maturity phase tended to have higher traditionally-oriented beliefs than student teachers.
Third, in a maturity phase, developmentally-oriented beliefs were negatively related with tradtionally-oriented beliefs.
The results were discussed in relation to implications for teacher education.
