This conceptual study was to apply the developmental theory to student teaching and developmental process of student teachers during their practicum. The present study figured out the concerns and three developmental stages of the student teachers: stagel(excitement/fear /survival), stage 2(classroom management/instructional trategies), and stage 3(evaluation of performance).
The findings from the present study implied a need for a strong orientation program for cooperating teachers, college supervisors, and student teachers. The supervision model in the study suggested that supervision by cooperating teachers and college supervisors should consider the developmental phases of student teachers.
