This study has exzmined the current extent of elementary school physical education to give the better direction to elementary school physical education and enrich the content of it. Another reason for examination is to analyze the whole problem that elementary school physical education in Korea has now and consider the encouraging plan of future elementary school phywical education in Korea, Thus, in order to promote the lelmentary school physical education in Korea, the political direction should be stabliched on behalf of harmony and belance of each field which realizes the goal of school physical education and supported by the proper organization and institution, humanly material environmanetal factors should be fulfilled.
