The purpose of this study was to examine how the living environments in where the elementary students are involved affect the process of their body shaping and health, and to suggest some guidelines of how to enhance their physical strengh and healthy life. the garget population for this study was 4th, 5th, 6th male graders in J city, and 237 subjects were randomly sampled . This reearch had been carried out from june 1 to July 31, 2000. the date were collected from the categories of body shape conditions of health the abilities of phywical exercise, home environment the situation of physical exercise the conditions of playing and learning eating habits and the degree of maturity . On the basis of statistical analysis such as analysis of variance(ANOVA), principal componet analysis mutiple-regression analysis the developmental trogress of body shape and health conditions and the effects of structures of factors and the living conditions were withdrawn. The findings of this study were summarized as follows.
The development of height and weight were incresed by the age, but there were no significant difference between skinfold thickness and the % of body fat among the age group . The ability of physical fitness was increased by the age, but no significance were found in sit and reach. It was found that the body shape.
