Jean Jacque rousseau(1712-1778) is of the philosophers of the 18th century Enlightenment in France and established the foundation of modern education.
He idealized and formulated the humanistic educaion and made the cornerstone to enhance children\'s rights and world. Besides with showing ideas of the movements of body according to Nature, he contributed towards the basic ideas of modern physical education. This research is aimed at the study of roussea\'s ideas and views on physical educaion through various reference books and precedent studies of others to present the role and direction of modern physical educaion.
Rousseau emphasized the \'According to Nature\' educaion because nature itself if harmonious, emotional and good. Therefore training bodies according to nature and adapting them to nature can make children emotional and desirable rather than reasonable and in the end help them to express the human\'s nature and virtue. With the point of the value of Rousseau\'s philosophy and the views on physical educaion. The conclusion is as follows:
First, Concerning Rousseaus\'s ideas about moving and training bodies in childhood. physical education should be separate from the subject named as \" Joyful life\". So physical eduvaion nees to be dependant subject like maths or science.
Second, Rousseau put an emphasis on affective domain as well as athletic domain among the aim of physical educaion with his ideas of improving cooperative attitude and sociality through group activities and games.
