Regular physical activity participation plays role in chronic disease prevention and quality life extension. Therefore, physical
activity participation should be individually recommended and nationally administered. It is mandatory to investigate the factors to
initiate, maintain or inhibit physical activity participation; however, there is little study in Korea. Especially, as compared to other
individual approached correlates including socio-demographic, psychological, cognitive, behavioral or cultural factors, physical
environmental correlates contributes public health, exercise or environmental policy and regulation to improve health promotion
due to population approach. The current study introduced the association between the physical environmental correlates and
habitual physical activity with internationally renowned studies.
