Regular physical activity participation plays role in chronic disease prevention and quality life extension. Therefore, physical activity participation should be individually recommended and nationally administered. It is mandatory to investigate the factors to initiate, maintain or inhibit physical activity participation; however, there is little study in Korea. Especially, as compared to other individual approached correlates including socio-demographic, psychological, cognitive, behavioral or cultural factors, physical environmental correlates contributes public health, exercise or environmental policy and regulation to improve health promotion due to population approach. The current study introduced the association between the physical environmental correlates and habitual physical activity with internationally renowned studies.
