The Purpose of this paper is to investigate how the athleticism was reflected through the work of 「Tom Brown\'s Schooldays」, which made crucual contrivution to global expansion of the educational ideology, by identifying the concept 「Tom Brown\'s Schooldays」which reflected those days of British society well and contrivuted the development of sport boom in the system of elite education spread sports into public schools, so that made a big contribution to the deelopment of such British sportsmanship as gentlemans ship , fair lay, etc. Such athletivism appeared in the 「Tom Brown\'s Schooldays」 as the code of gentleman and healthy Protestantism introdeced that moral discipline learnt at School and leadership acquired through sports would develop into imperial ideal when they graduate and assume a role as a member of society. Based on the recognition that the sport education was an educational tool for the development of Healthy body, the sports appeared as main tools doing a fole of main strut to bring up chivalry gentlemen and muscular gentlemen. It is meaningful from the perspertive that the idel model of Tom brought up as chivalry gentlemen with strong body and through sport education suggests something for the direction of our educaion.
