The purpose of this study was to idenfity the relationships between the self- esteem and the emotional development and participation of rope-skipping Elementary School Student\'s . The 711(low-grade student 391, high - grade student 320 ) subjected were selected from C elementary shcools in Cheongju, data analyses consisted of employing descriptive statistics, t-test and standard miltiple regression analysis using SPSS/PC+ version 11.0 . The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire in which emotional development scale as identified by Avrahamse (1970) & Wolmann(1978) and supplemented by Kim(1985) and Kang(1996) and self-esteem as identified by Choi and Chun(1993).
The obtained results are following.
First, Emotional Development and self-esteem differ partially according to sociodemographic variables of elementary school students.
Second, elementary school students\'s partivipation of rope - skipping and emotional development differ partially.
Third , the Emotional Development of the elementary school students effect their self-esteem.
