The purposes of this study was to review the educational implications of Sternberg's theory of Successful Intelligences(SI) and the basic instructional objectives that were based on his theory. First, I reviewed his SI theory as a system theory, concept and elements of information-processing, development of expert, and discussed their educational implications. Second, the concrete effects of SI theory to experimental nstructions and their reasons were presented. In addition, according to previous analysis, two kinds of direction that can be considered as a basis for schooling were suggested. Finally, in order to apply SI theory to schooling more effectively and broadly, I discussed what kinds of future studies will be needed. Among them, I presented the necessity for the study of extension of conception of SI to include affective objectives, the study of the detailed variables related to the planning and implementation of instruction, and the denotation of SI conception through connecting to the other education-related variables.
