This research was aimed to investigate the effect of rope-skipping training on physical fitness(arm, leg and back strength, power, muscular endurance, flexibility) and cardiorespiratory function(HRrest, VEmax, VO2max/kg) in male(n=7) and female(n=7) elementary students. The rope-skipping trained 50 minutes per session, 5day a week for 8week.
The results of this study are as follows:
Arm strength, leg strength, back strength, power and trunk flexion were found to have the significant increase of each group. HRrest were significantly decrease, whereas VEmax and VO2max/kg were significantly increase of each group.
In conclusion, the results of this study suggest that rope-skipping training can contribute to the better benefit physical fitness and cardiorespiratory function in elemental school boys and girls.
