The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between types of leisure activity and leisure satisfaction of college students for elementary education. The subjects were sampled 163 college students from Cheongju National University of Education, which was selected according to purposive random sampling method. The questionnaire was leisure satisfaction scale developed by Beard and Ragheb(1980) which was revised by Lee(1992) into Korean. It was consisted of the psychological, educational, social, physiological, relaxational and environmental satisfaction. Responses were made on 5-point scale. The method of statistics used to analyze the collected data was frequency analysis, crosstabs, one-way ANOVA. The results of the analysis was as follows : First, The types of sports leisure activity was the most highest in the types of leisure activity. Second, The types of sports leisure activity was the most highest in the leisure satisfaction. The types of sports leisure activity among collegiate for the elementary education has influence on the psychological, educational, social, physiological satisfaction. ※ Key words : college students for elementary education, leisure activity, leisure satisfaction
