Although emotional self-sufficiency has been discussed importantly, recent research has
mainly focused on economic self-sufficiency and the restrictive study of measuring
emotional self-sufficiency being conducted. Therefore, by domestically appling the
Employment Hope Scale(EHS), this study proposed the probability for measuring
psychological self-sufficiency. And this study conducted exploratory study about factors
affecting the emotional self-sufficiency. For this purpose, data were driven from 458
participants selected from the self-sufficiency centers national-wide, multi regression
analysis was used to test the model. The study demonstrates that resilience, thinking
about self-sufficiency and barrier to self-sufficiency affect on emotional self-sufficiency.
That is, psycho-social resources of Self-Sufficiency Program Participants increase emotional
self-sufficiency. Based on these findings, it is suggested to emphasize the importance of
programs of emotional self-sufficiency and education contents are need which are based
on and employment hope to increasing effect of self-sufficiency.
