The present study was intended to solve some weakpoints related to existing systems such as industrial counseling and grievance procedure system . The main purpose of this study lies in developing a group training program for counselor educaion in industrial fields and to evaluate the effects of the program. To achieve this purpose, following questions were set up and answered. 1. What are the disposition and role as counselor in the industrial fields? 2. What are the actual condition of counseling withing the indstrial fields? 3. What should be composed of the contents of a group training program for counselor ? 4. Will the program proposed this study be efffective in the improcement of trainees\' response ability ? Through this study, the main results were as follows: 1. The counselor\'s important abilities in the industrial fields were knowledge on human behavior, the ability to obtain and use information and to conduct psychological tests, the possession of counseling skills, the ability to solve diverse problems , capacity to interpret the related laws and manage a counseling center. Of all these, the most important one was counseling skills, among these, the skills of coummunication and interviewing. 2. The average ferquency of counseling which each subject had counducted was of 20.8 times either officially or unofficially.The most frequency mentioned counseling problems were the issues related to surroundings of the working place(pleasant atmosphere, safty conditions) the problem of income, the problem of human relations among colleagues and the members of the different levels of command, the problems of human resoures like promotions, task assignment , etc the most often mentioned expectation of the vlients to the counselors was understanding, empathy the offering of knowldge and information. the subject as counselor felt that they possessed a slight positive ability for counseling , but an evaluation of themselves demostrated that they considered themselves deficient in the psychological knowledge and skills needed to change the attitudes or actions of the clients, ability for listening m understanding and empathy with their problems and for expressing and coummunicating such feelings. the response also showed that the subjects considered the knowledge and mastery of those skills as something very important . 28.3% of the subjects had had a previous experience of counseling training. There was not any significant difference in terms of the positive reponse between the subjects when we considered the lenghth of their academic history or their previous experience training as counselors. 3. The followning conditions and methodology was very effective in the training program for counselors in industral fields ①Learning conditions Partivipation and involvement, trial of new behavior type, an atmosphere of confidence trust and regart among the members of the group. ②The evaluation of the effectiveness of the program showed that, expect for the warmth scale, there had been an improvment in the responsiveess of the subjects. In other words, the results showed that the program designed as the consequence of this investigation is an effective one to improve the responsiveness of the subjects.
