In the present situation of wide spread of open classroom practices in our schools, this study intended to explore evaluation method for open education in our educational settings. Through such evaluation activities, open education must be given feedback for corrective events, in consequence, the problem with which open education is confronted can be solved. Open education evaluation is considered in two aspects, one is intrinsic evaluation and the other is extrinsic one. The former is approached by performance assessments, because performance assessments is closely related with principles and characteristics of open education. Performance assessments means the type constructed by students for their products and behaviors of self-knowledge and skills. Performance assessments is different from traditional measurements method in aims of assessments, substances of assessments, circunstances of assessments, times of assessments and appraser. Computer simulation, description/essay forms, true-record forms, experimental/practical exercises, personal interviews, observations, written reports, portfolios are some examples of performance assessments which can be used easily in our schools. While the later was studied for open education program evaluation. Open education program evaluation model is consisted of `establishment of aims\', `planning to accomplish aims\', `instruction-learning process\' and `global evaluation\'. Open education program evaluation process is made under the foundation of philosophy, principles and characteristics of open education. In conclusion, in open education, intrinsic evaluation(performance assessments) makes it possible to realize open education aims and extrinsic evaluation model offers feedback data and corrective information to open education program.
