Each realm of multiple realities has its unique rules of discourse as a mode of `language game` in terms of its `forms of life`. This study examines the conditions of autonomous educational discourse which may be related to the competency-based educational innovation in universities. Basically, autonomous educational discourse should satisfy such general conditions for indwelling in appropriate attitude constructing academic discipline, as well as depending on its unique and relevant theories, and innovating in educational practice that is linked to intrinsic educational theories. Furthermore, specific conditions for an educational discourse on competency based education innovation include the educational values and goals that might justify the innovative endeavors. Also, it should have the understanding of nature and status of competency as a kind of knowledge that mediates the educational interaction. The structure and level of educational activities are needed to be identified as the objects of innovation itself. The specification of the mechanisms and appropriate process of development and criteria of evaluation is must explained, too. This study concludes that participating in the appropriate language game and satisfying these conditions for an educational discourse are the indispensible requirements for the engagement in the forms of academic life of the intrinsic and autonomous educational discipline.
