This study has been completed for researching the cognition of the Visual Handicapped\'s Quality of life(QOL). To explain and analyze the Visual Handicapped\'s QOL, it has important meaning in improving the their QOL and using foundation data of a social welfare policy formation. The questionnaire is focused on the sampling of the 109-person visual handicapped of over 18 years old who are living in Gwangju city. We use a scale of QOL. It is compose of 54 items and 54 items are consist of 9 sub sector(the health, the human relation, the family relationship, the way of life, the social environment, the vocation, the social participation, the economic life, and the leisure). The Cronbach\'s coefficient alpha of scale is 0.873. In nine sub sector of individual, cognition of the Visual Handicapped\'s QOL indicate different respectively satisfaction and dissatisfaction In sub sector of satisfaction grade, family relationship and way of life are high level score but the economic life and vocation are much low level score. This results are very suggestive to make a social welfare policy of the Visual Handicapped.
