The purpose of this study is to provide a basic data for development of a stress scale for the clients who does not earn regular monthly income as well as poor physical health. By analyzing the stress scale used before in medical, psychological and social welfare settings, we can try to make appropriate measurement for the betterment of the Social Welfare.
The survey has been conducted with the samples of 131 articles and the major findings of this study are as follows.
First, the subjects of the articles issued in medical settings are focused on study of disease or improvement of health.
Second, the results of the articles in psychological settings are focused on correlation between personal stress responses and their psychological factors. While on the other hand, the subjects of the articles in social welfare settings are focused on relationship between clients and their various environments rather than the psychological factors or physical diseases.
The major finding of this study is the lack of research for development of stress scale to assess stress responses of the clients in comparison with other disciplines.
Therefore, it is necessary to develop the stress scale for measuring the various responses of the clients of Social Welfare.
