본 연구는 김민화․박희숙․최경숙(2002)의 연구에서, 또래 협력과정을 통해 유추 문제 해결의 수준을 상승시킬 수 있었던 아동들을 대상으로 그들의 또래 협력 시 보였던 대화들을 분석하여, 어떠한 대화의 내용들이 또래 협력 유추 문제 해결에 도움이 되었는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이는 유추 문제 해결 뿐 아니라, 또래 협력 학습이라는 학습과정의 성공요소로서 어떠한 언어 상호작용이 필요한 지 알아보는 데 본 연구의 의의를 두고자 한다. 그 결과, 유추문제 해결 상승 결과를 상, 중, 하 수준으로 분류했을 때 전반적으로 공유의 기능이 중요한 작용을 한 것으로 보였다. 이것은 일단 협력 활동에 있어 서로의 의미를 교류하는 작업이 필수가 된다는 것을 보여준다. 특히, 사전 유추 문제해결 단계에서 상수준과 중수준 유추 문제 해결 수준을 받은 아동들이 사후 문제해결 수준에서 모두 상수준으로 유지되거나 증진된 아동들의 경우, 이들은 협력 과정동안 관리 기능의 대화 내용이 두드러지게 나타났다. 관리의 기능은 공유하는 내용을 통제하고 정교화 하는 기능으로, 이러한 내용의 대화 과정이 유추문제 해결을 증진시키는 데 중요한 기능을 할 수 있었던 것으로 보였다. 이러한 결과는 협력 과정에서 서로의 의미를 공유하고 더 나아가 협력하는 동료들과의 상호작용에서 상위-인지적 기술을 발휘할 수 있도록 할 때 문제해결에 도움을 줄 수 있다는 것을 말해준다고 생각되어진다.
This study analyzed the conversation patterns of children based on the work of Kim et al.(2002) in order to assess their quality of interaction and whether their analogical problem solving increased due to peer collaborative learning. The results showed that on the whole, there was a sharing function of the conversation pattern in each of the three analogical problem solving levels(high, medium, and low). This was interpreted that there was importance placed upon the transaction and that meanings were understood through their collaboration. This was especially true in the pre-problem solving stage, when they exhibited high level performance and medium level performance groups progressed to high level, through collaboration. Children more used the management function or sharing function in their conversation whom they had profit by collaboration. The management function controlled elaborative and sharing function and functioned as a very critical role in order to raise the level of the analogical problem solving through collaborative learning. This result was supported by prior studies which highlight the sharing process in the understanding of their meanings and the meta-cognitive skills between collaborators.
