본 연구의 목적은 학교장의 참여적 의사결정과 지시적 의사결정이 학교조직풍토개방성과 교사조직몰입에 미치는 영향을 비교 분석하고자 하였다. 두 가지 다른 유형의 의사결정이 조직적인 측면에서 학교조직풍토와 개인적인 측면에서 교사의 학교조직몰입에 미치는 영향이 어떻게 다르게 나타나는지를 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지도성변인으로 혼재할 수 있는 영향력을 통제한 상태에서도 학교장의 참여적 의사결정은 조직풍토개방성과 교사조직몰입에 모두 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 본 연구의 가설과는 상이하게 학교장의 지시적 의사결정이 조직차원의 학교조직풍토개방성에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 학교장의 지시적 의사결정은 개인차원의 교사조직몰입에는 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of principal’s decision making style(participatory vs. directive decision making) on organizational culture openness and teacher’s commitment according to principal’s transformational leadership. The data for this study were collected from the questionnaires of teachers from elementary school under the educational government of Gyeongsangnamdo and Ulsan. Participatory and directive decision making both have positive effects on openness of organizational culture. Participatory decision making has a positive effect on teacher’s commitment while directive decision making has a negative effect on teacher’s commitment. Openness of organizational culture has a positive effect on teacher’s commitment. The principal’s transformational leadership has a positive effect on participatory decision making while a negative effect on directive decision making.
