본 연구의 목적은 창작음악극 활동이 유아들의 창의성과 사회적 기술에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 통해 창작음악극 활동의 효과적인 실천방안을 모색하고, 나아가 창작음악극 활동의 교육적 가치에 대한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이에 만 5세 유아들에게 창작음악극 활동을 12주 동안 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창작음악극 활동에 참여한 실험집단의 유아가 통제집단의 유아보다 창의성이 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났으며, 창의성의 하위요인인 유창성, 융통성, 독창성, 상상력에도 긍정적인 영향을 끼친 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 창작음악극 활동에 참여한 실험집단의 유아가 통제집단의 유아보다 사회적 기술이 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났으며, 사회적 기술의 하위요인인 협력, 자기주장, 자기통제에도 긍정적인 영향을 끼친 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to examine how the creative music drama activities have effects on young children`s creativity and social skills. This study would be able to find out effective ways for conducting creative music drama activities and to provide basic data about the educational values of the creative music drama activities. The creative music drama activities were applied to the experimental group with 5 years old for 12 weeks. The results of this study were as follows: First, creative music drama activities have positive impacts on young children`s creativity. There were significant differences in creativity between the experimental group and the control group. In the sub-factors of creativity, the experimental group showed significant differences in fluency, flexibility, originality, and imagination. Second, creative music drama activities have positive impacts on young children`s social skills. There were significant differences in social skills between the two groups. The experimental group showed significant differences in cooperation, self-assertion and self-control in the sub-factors of social skills.
