이 연구의 목적은 오케스트라 활동에 참여한 학생들의 성적의 변화를 분석하고, 오케스트라 활동이 성적에 미치는 영향을 이해하는 데 있다. 연구의 내용은 오케스트라 활동을 하는 학생들의 1년간의 국어, 수학, 영어 성적의 변화를 분석하는 것이다. 연구 대상으로 전국에서 오케스트라 활동을 하는 9개 학교를 무선 표집하여, 그 학교에서 1년 이상 오케스트라 활동에 참여한 학생 232명을 선정하였다. 성적은 2011년과 2012년 1학기의 학년 석차를 활용하였다. 그리고 석차 점수를 하나의 기준으로 이해할 수 있도록 석차를 등위점수(ranking-score)로 변환하여 활용하였다. 연구의 결과는 첫째, 오케스트라 활동을 한 학생들의 등위점수는 상승하였지만 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 둘째, 학교에 따라 점수의 변화가 다르게 나타나고 있다. 셋째, 학교급별, 성별, 악기에 따라 점수가 다르게 나타났지만 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in the scores of students who participated in the orchestra, and understand the impact of Orchestra activity. The contents of this study is investigate one year score change of korean languages , mathematics, and English. The nine schools nationwide Orchestra random sampling study from the school, the students who participated in the Orchestra for more than one year 232 were selected. And to understand the basis of one scale score rank score rankings (ranking-score) was used to convert it.Orchestra, the final ranking score of students on the rise, but the results of the study were not statistically significant. Second, scores of change varies depending on the school. Third, according to the school level, gender, instrument scores appear differently, but statistically significant, did not.
