본 연구의 목적은 초등예비교사의 음악 실기 스트레스 정도와 음악교과 자기효능감과의 관계를 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 A, B, C교육대학교 9개 학과에 재학중인 총 237명의 초등예비교사(남학생: 73, 여학생: 164)를 대상으로 음악 실기 스트레스와 음악교과 자기효능감 검사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 연구에 참여한 초등예비교사 남학생 29명(39%), 여학생 145명(88%)이 피아노 학원에 다닌 경험이 있다고 응답하였으며, 여학생이 남학생에 비해 음악 실기 경험이 더 많은 것으로 조사되었다. 둘째, 음악 실기 스트레스 점수는 남학생(23.54점)이 여학생(21.48점)보다 더 높게 나타났으며, 이는 남학생이 여학생보다 음악 실기에 대한 스트레스가 더 많다고 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 음악 실기 스트레스와 음악교과 자기효능감과의 상관계수가 -.504로, 유의수준 .01에서 유의한 것으로 나타나 두 변인은 뚜렷한 부적상관관계를 가지는 것으로 조사되었다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between music performance stress and elementary pre-service teacher’s music education self-efficacy. The subjects of this study were 237 elementary pre-service teachers. The followings are the findings of this study: First, 39%(n=29) of male and 88%(n=145) of female elementary pre-service teachers had attended private piano institute before they entered the university of education. Second the music performance stress was higher in male elementary pre-service teachers(23.54) than female elementary pre-service teachers(21.48). These results show that male elementary pre-service teachers are more stressed about music performance than female elementary pre-service teachers. The correlation between music performance stress and elementary pre-service teacher’s music education self-efficacy were investigated using Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. There was a strong negative correlation between stress on music performance and elementary pre-service teacher’s music subject self-efficacy(r = -.504, n =237, p < .01).
