본 연구에서는 현대 사회의 가장 큰 특징이기도 한 가상공간의 개념을 전통적 사상과 포스트모던적 사유로 융합하여 제시하고 창의적인 표현도구로 활용하고자 한다. 공간에 대한 상대적 인식과 개념 이해를 위해 불교의 ‘공사상’과 쟝 보드리야르의 ‘시뮬라크르’ 개념을 바탕으로 현대 사회의 대표적인 가상공간을 인식해보고, 이를 통한 창의적 미술교육의 방법을 제안해 보고자 한다. 불교의 공사상은 무자성(無自性)의 특성과 반야심경에 나타나는 색즉시공(色卽是空)공즉시색(空卽是色)의 특성으 로 정리할 수 있다. 보드리야르의 핵심개념인 시뮬라시옹(simulation)은 실재가 아닌 파생실재로 전환되는 작업이며, 모든 실제로는 존재하지 않는 대상을 존재하는 것처럼 만들어 놓은 실재의 인공물을 시뮬라크르(simulacre)라 한다. 본 연구에서는 현대의 주된 현상 가운데 하나인 가상공간에 대한 창의적 시각 표현 개발을 위해 불교의 공사상에 기초하여 비 절대적이고 상대적인 가상의 공간해석 방식을 분석하였다. 공간 이론에 근거하여 실제 수업을 위한 학습모형을 제시하고 이를 실행하여 결과물로 얻어진 실기물을 분석한다. 공간 개념의 확장과 창의적 표현은 학습자가 주변의 환경을 좀 더 상대적이고 다양하게 인식할 수 있는 계기를 만들 수 있고, 이러한 태도는 해체와 분열 가운데 혼돈으로 느껴질 수 있는 현대 사회의 가상적 특성에 적극적으로 대처하고 가상공간에 대해 창의적으로 표현할 수 있는 미술교육적 효과를 가져 올 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the various formative values about the concept of the space interpretation of the idea of naught of traditional art. This concept is compared with the concept of the virtual space concept from Jean Baudillard; the two concept are implicated for the development of creative optical expression. Students living In the contemporary period struggle understanding the concept of 'relativity' and 'duplicity deactivation' in the idea of naught. Therefore if the study is suggested by the concept of 'virtual reality' and 'simulacre', students could understand more easily. Considering the contemporary cultural context, the multi-dimensional study on the various meanings of traditional paintings is very essential. This study attempts to bring an increase of attention on the fact that in the traditional space concept, there is more emphasis on the various meanings of the concept of 'negative space' in traditional paintings. This research has the implications for traditional art education that broadens our understanding of the concept of 'virtual space' in Ink wash paintings. This is included in the idea of naught, by revisiting its ideological and aesthetic significances in traditional art.
