본 연구는 청소년의 애착수준에 따른 모자화의 반응특성을 검토하여 모자화를 청소년의 애착수준을 평가하는 도구로 활용할 수 있는가를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 대구ㆍ경북 지역의 중ㆍ고등학교 1~2학년생 435명(남 225, 여 210명)이다. 연구도구는 또래애착척도와 모자화이다. 모자화의 해석지표는 13개로 설정하였고, 자료분석은 교차분석을 실시하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 애착수준에 따라 유의차가 있는 지표는 어머니상에서 신체형태와 얼굴형태 및 얼굴표정, 아이상에서 신체부위생략, 모자상에서 크기비교와신체접촉 및 손뻗침이다. 애착안정성이 높은 청소년은 애착안정성이 낮은 청소년보다 어머니상에서는 신체형태에서 전체, 얼굴형태에서 전체, 얼굴표정애서 미소를 그리는 비율이 높았고, 아이상에서는 신체부위를 생략하지않고 그리는 비율이 높았으며, 모자상에서는 크기비교에서는 어머니상을 아이상보다 크게 그리고, 신체접촉에서는 상호접촉, 손뻗침에서는 상호 손뻗침으로 그리는 비율이 높았다. 이와 같이 본 연구를 통하여 모자화는 어머니상의 신체형태와 얼굴형태 및 얼굴표정, 아이상의 신체부위생략, 모자상의 크기비교와 신체접촉 및 손뻗침의 변인들로 청소년의 애착수준을 평가할 수 있음이 확인되었다.
This paper addresses the possibility of using Mother-and-Child Drawings as an assessment tool for measuring adolescent attachment levels. Participants included 435 (225 male, 210 female) first and second year students in the middle and high schools. Measurement tools included the IPPA-R and Mother-and-Child Drawings. This study established 13 interpretation criteria and data analysis was performed using cross tabulation. Results indicated that seven indices showed statistical significance. In the case of the mother figure, whole body, whole face, and smiles in the face were more prevalent in the drawings by high secure attachment adolescents. In the case of the child figure, high secure attachment adolescents were more likely to draw images with all of the body parts. In the case of both the mother and child figures, high secure attachment adolescents drew images that featured a larger mother than child in size comparison, and displayed mutual physical contact in physical contact, and depicted mutual reaching out in the reaching out between mother and child. Thus, the evidence suggests Mother-and-Child Drawings appears to be an effective tool in assessing adolescents attachment level.
